Preparation
- In a bowl, whisk together the sifted flour, oats, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Using your fingertips or a pastry cutter, rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the lemon juice and mix until the dough just comes together.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a long sausage shape. Cut the dough into 1cm thick slices.
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Place the biscuit slices on a baking sheet and bake for 23-25 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- While the biscuits are still hot from the oven, press a piece of chocolate into the center of each biscuit. The heat will melt the chocolate. Immediately, sprinkle chopped walnuts on top of the melted chocolate
- Allow the biscuits to cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cool, store them in an airtight container.
